An 18-year-old named Carys Wood, who performs on the trumpet and is from Wales, has been assisted by the charity, with awards contributing to musical instruments, lessons and travel costs - and she said it was "amazing" to be performing at tonight's service. "Music can be very expensive," she stated. She is now studying at the Royal Academy of Music, and added that "all people deserve the chance" to cultivate their performance abilities. Generations Gathering Eliza, Carys's sister who is 11, who plays the euphonium, will likewise attend the Abbey. "It's unbelievable that I get to perform here in front of so many notable figures," she said. Among the guests will be people from various age groups.
